Most of our posts will include files that were created with Adobe Software ( PS, FL, DW, AI, FW …), if you find a file that you need, but you don’t have the necessary software to customize it you got two options, either you contact us and request custom work (which is not for free), or you download a trial version of that particular software. Each post includes a “Features” section, there you will find out what software you need to edit the source files included in your download package.
All the source files available on BrandMyStyle come in a ZIP file, if you are unable to open such a file try to install WINRAR or WINZIP, links to these programs and others are provided at the end of this post.
Flash files:
- to view a flash file you will need to have flash player installed on you PC, you can get that for free on adobe.com
- to open and edit a FLA file make sure you have Adobe Flash installed on your PC, and it’s the right version, you can download a trial version on adobe.com
- some files will use PhP, if you find a file like that and decide to use it make sure your server has PhP support, without that the file will not work properly.
- if you downloaded a flash file that uses XML to load data (text, images …), and after you made changes to the files it’s no longer loading the images or texts, make sure all the paths are correct (both in the XML file and inside the FLA file), sometimes things get mixed up and the paths are no longer good (files were moved inside other folders).
